Well, I got the results of my PET Scan today and I was hoping for a very good report because I have been feeling great, but the doctor told me that the scan shows progression of lesions in my liver and also in my right hip. The doctor is putting me on a different chemo which will be given in the form of a shot (Fosladex) and I will still be getting Zomeda in the form of infusion once a month. I was very sad, then the doctor stated, "this is just a bump in the road." The symptoms of the Fosladex (I don't know how to spell it) are like menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, irritability, etc.--oh, no. But I will not be losing my hair!

Jana,
ReplyDeleteThe Lord is going to see you through this. Like the Dr said just a bump in the road. Still praying for your healing and more strength each day. Rest in His assurance...
Love you so much,
Brit
Jana:
ReplyDeleteBumps in the road keep you on your toes. Our prayers will continue. Keep looking at the bright side.....no hair loss! Amen to that. And hey, I made it through menopause symptoms (and so did my Hubby!) you can too! my father-in-law also had the symptoms due to some medicines he was on from prostrate cancer. YOU CAN DO THIS! You have God and bunches of people praying for you. The fact that your spirits are up and that you are feeling better is a positive thing.
Just think of the bumps as a roller coaster ride. Scream and yell all you need to get the exciting rush when it's over!
We love you and are all praying for you! His Will be done in you! Amen!
Genesis 18:14 "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"

Jana,
ReplyDeleteSorry the news wasn't what we were all praying for. I have all those hot flashes and irritability (at least Rick tells me I do!) For me they are not as terrible as people say. I am glad your doctor (and God) put a new plan in place. Know you are never far from my thoughts and prayers.
Michelle
Jana, God is with you all the way, along with your friends who continue to pray with you and for you. Let God and today's modern technology pave your way to recovery.
ReplyDeleteTake care and enjoy life as it comes. I am sure you know how blessed you are in many other ways.
God bless you always, my friend.
